Nutheim is a good starting point for experiences
involving nature, art and culture.
Nutheim is situated in lush nature and has views over
the village of Flatdal. From the King's Stone (Kongehella)
200 meter north of the hotel, King Oscar II proclaimed,
"This is the most beautiful view I've ever seen." There
are numerous hiking routes in the village and
surrounding villages.
THE OLD VICARAGE OF HJARTDAL, which dates from the 17th
century, was relocated to Nutheim in 1963 and restored
here. The vicarage has its own chapel and the Nutheim
Gallery is just next door. Here you can enjoy
exhibitions by artists with a special connection to the
place. Guided tours of the vicarage and the gallery can
be booked at a fee of NOK 50.00 per person.
Across the road from Nutheim, Terje Grøstad has his OPEN
ATELIER during the summer.
EVA BULL HOLTE'S picture gallery, which also features
arts and crafts -16 kilometres from Nutheim, is open
from the 22nd of June.
Guest exhibitor for 2008 - TORHILD GRØSTAD
THE SELJORD SUMMER EXHIBITION is open during July and
August - 13 kilometres from Nutheim.
